Sunday 6th and Monday 7th May	May Bank Holiday Antique Fair: Browse around our free Antique and Collectors Fair, with numerous stalls selling a variety of wonderful items. 10am – 5pm.Circus Workshop available in the courtyard on both days – have a go at juggling, diablo, plate spinning and more with assistance from our hands on workshop team.

Monday 4th June and Tuesday 5th June	Spring Bank Holiday and Diamond Jubilee Food & Craft Festival: consisting of food and craft stalls offering a great selection of local produce and handcrafted items. Open both days from 10am – 5pm with free admission and parking over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Tuesday 5th June 2012	Diamond Jubilee Celebration Street Partyin the courtyard with bunting, music and children’s entertainment and games throughout the day between 11am and 4pm. Just purchase your party food and join in the party, food available from 11.30am until 3.30pm.Join in our Bunting Challenge for the Queens Diamond Jubilee – both the villages of Sandiway and Cuddington and Blakemere are joining forces to try to make the longest bunting in Cheshire. Design your own piece of bunting, incorporating our Royal (red, white and blue) Theme, at Blakemere on the run up to, and during, our Jubilee Street Party, or bring in your own pieces to add prior to Tuesday 5th June. Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July	Countryside Fair 2012: Full of fun for all the family including an Arena Time Table incorporating a Fun Dog Show and a variety of displays and demonstrations. There will be a fantastic Food Hall and Craft Marquee, stalls and activities, clay pigeon shooting, archery and small fairground rides to name but a few. BBQ, Beer Tent, and lots more. Admission £1 per adult (children under 16 free) proceeds going to Blakemere’s Charity of the Year.

Twelfth Night
April 25th – 28th

It will be the 448th anniversary of the playwright’s birth on April 23 and the Cheshire Actors Studio Players, based at Blakemere Craft Centre, will be performing Twelfth Night, his comedy of mistaken identities and confused desires.

Cheshire Actors Studio will be performing a classic Shakespeare tale this month to celebrate the Bard’s birthday.

The performance, running from Wednesday, April 25 to Saturday, April 28, also marks the launch of the World Shakespeare Festival – the biggest celebration of Shakespeare ever staged with events across the UK through to November.

Join Cheshire’s longest Easter Egg Trail

THE COUNTDOWN HAS STARTED to the 2012 DESTINATION 49 EASTER EGG TRAIL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 6th 2012

FAMILIES are being invited to join for a second year Cheshire’s longest Easter egg trail this Easter.

Attractions and businesses along the A49 – stretching from Sandiway to Tarporley – have joined together to provide a full day of fun on Friday, April 6th.

There are not many roads where you would find yourself in a shire horse centre one minute and at the next turn tasting tempting delights in a unique chocolate shop. However, anyone who takes part in the egg hunt will discover that those places and more are all along the A49.

Those who turn up on the day at any of the Destination 49 locations they can buy their PASSPORT for just £1 – which includes a free £1.25 easter Egg!

As each participating member of Destination49 is visited, the answer to a question can be sought. The passports can be filled in with these answers and then entered online at www.destination49.co.uk/easter-egg-trail as an entry to win one of the 2012 STAR PRIZES.

There are over £500 worth of prizes to be won whilst treaking through the stops on the Easter trail; that include a polo club, chocolate shop, shire horse centre, several hotels and restaurants as well as a farm shop.

“Everyone who turns up will have a great day and see so many different sites,” said Ginny Brookes-White from Blakemere Craft Centre. “A lot of great businesses are positioned along the A49, but it is also a beautiful part of the Cheshire countryside to visit.”

The fun officially starts at 10am on Friday, April 6th, at Blakemere Craft Centre with an ‘egg’ collection competition on the Supagolf course. However, families will be able to start the route at any point during the day. Competition Entries will need to be entered by 6pm, Monday, April 9th with winners announced at NOON, TUESDAY APRIL 10th.
